Sustainability and luxury are not mutually exclusive—they complement each other. This is demonstrated by the new collaboration between recycled paper manufacturer Koehler Paper and paper bag manufacturer Riedle.
With the market launch of the new “Pure” bag line, Riedle is relying entirely on recycled paper for the first time – relying on the premium quality of Greenium paper from the Koehler Paper site in Greiz, made from 100 percent secondary fibers.
Recycled paper without compromise
High-quality feel, brilliant print results and a wide range of finishing options meet consistent sustainability in this cooperation. Riedle, known for customized carrier bag solutions, had long been searching for a recycled paper that met its high standards in terms of finishing, durability, and design. With the Greenium papers “creative print” and “Koehler Eco®,” this gap has now been closed. The new product line represents sustainable brand presence – with a high-quality appearance, light- and abrasion-resistant material, and a color selection ranging from natural white to solid black to fresh pastel shades.
“The response from our customers has been consistently positive,” says Corinna Tanak, customer service representative at Riedle, based in Langenbrettach, Baden-Württemberg. “The paper carrier bags impress not only with their environmental friendliness, but also with their elegant appearance.
This demonstrates that ecological action and a stylish brand presence are not mutually exclusive.” Another advantage of the collaboration: Riedle produces in Europe, while Koehler Paper manufactures its Greenium papers in Greiz, Thuringia – ensuring short routes and a reliable supply chain. Together, Riedle and Koehler Paper are setting a precedent for a new era of packaging: local, high-quality, and responsible.
