AUM Premium to Launch Paper-Based Bottles in Sustainability Push
AUM Premium, a natural Himalayan spring water brand, has announced plans to introduce paper-based bottles by the end of 2026 as part of its ongoing commitment to reducing plastic consumption and advancing sustainable packaging solutions.
The company stated that the innovative bottles will be manufactured using responsibly sourced paper combined with a food-grade barrier, significantly reducing the use of conventional plastic while ensuring product safety and quality. The lightweight packaging is also expected to enhance transportation efficiency and lower the overall environmental impact of packaging and distribution.
As part of its sustainability initiative, AUM Premium has partnered with Delhi-based waste management and recycling startup Scrapbuddy to launch a dedicated bottle recycling programme. The collaboration aims to encourage responsible disposal of used packaging and support the development of a more circular and resource-efficient packaging ecosystem.
According to the company, the move reflects its broader strategy of developing packaging solutions that balance product performance, consumer convenience and environmental responsibility, while meeting the growing demand for eco-friendly alternatives.
Commenting on the initiative, Jagriti Motwani, Founder & CEO of AUM Premium, said that while discussions around bottled water have traditionally focused on purity and pricing, packaging deserves equal attention. She noted that the company is committed to reducing unnecessary plastic without compromising product quality and will continue exploring innovative packaging technologies as they evolve.
Looking ahead, AUM Premium said it will continue investing in sustainable packaging innovations with the long-term objective of introducing 100% plastic-free bottles, while maintaining its focus on delivering premium hydration products.
